I confess...

I have an addiction i have a lot of trouble kicking...

I can't stop thinking about it...

I have already spent a small fortune sustaining this addiction...

I don't think anyone can help me with this...

My new love is

G O L F

I’ve already bought a new set of Nike Slingshot 4D irons.

I’ve also bought a new Nike SV Tour Black Sand Wedge.

I’ve bought a new Nike OZ-5 Mallet Putter.

I’ve bought myself a pair of Adidas Tour360 3.0 golf shoes at half price.

I’ve bought myself 2 Nike Dri-fit polo T’s and a pair Dri-fit of trousers specially for golf.

I’ve bought short tees for teeing off with irons, I’ve bought a long tee in preparation of learning how to tee off with my driver.

I’ve also bought a bunch of 2nd hand golf balls, coz I got tired of losing my exclusive Heineken balls I got for free from my dad back then.

I am now looking for a brush to keep my irons clean, iron covers to protect them, a short rubber tee to practice tee shots at the range, among other ancillary stuff.

My dad was at a golf sale in JB the other day, and called to tell me he’ll help me buy some extra gloves, a Boston bag, and heaven knows what other goodies (secretly I’m really happy – duh).

In the near future, I can foresee myself looking to get my hybrids to replace my long irons, as well as fairway woods and a driver.

Not good.

Not good at all.

I’ve been playing golf almost every week ever since I bought my new clubs.

I have played at the Par 3 Executive course at NSRCC/SAFRA virtually every Saturday for the past 3 weeks.

I believe I’ll be heading down to the Mandai Executive Course this weekend with my colleagues.

And I don’t think I can get enough of it! >_<

Tinkz doesn’t have her own set at the moment, so she’s been left out of most of this. Thankfully she’s busy with her exams at the moment (which explains the cobwebs at her blog), so she cannot really be considered a golf widow just yet.
I hope.

I shudder to imagine when she graduates, and starts to look for her own set. I’ll fall back into this “golf shopping” frenzy again (froth froth) and really dig deep to hunt for the best possible set.

Just the other day she was thinking about her own set. A mutual friend of ours had her appetite wet when she saw a Slazenger ladies' full set at just $200, she thought 'What the heck, I'll just get it, and by the time i think about getting something better, the $200 would've lasted me more than a while...'. I took Tinkz to have a quick look, she wasn't overly impressed, but did see my friend's point. Over the weekend, she saw Al's Maruman ladies set that cost her over $1,000 about a year ago - and that got her really thinking about her very own set.

I can really imagine that day when it comes, when she's got her credit card ready to rock and roll at the golf shops! Then we’ll go on this golfing craze again – playing as often as our bodies and finances can support.

Gulp.
